What's a zine? A zine is often a collection of creative works; usually showcasing illustrations and writing, it is similar to books and magazines, except published by regular folks.

What's the theme? This zine focuses on the relationship (platonic or romantic) between Zhongli and Xiao.

What's the zine's rating? R-16/Mature, with the possibility of a R-18/Explicit digital-only side-zine.

Will other ships/characters be featured? The main focus of the zine is ZhongXiao/XiaoZhong, other ships including either Zhongli or Xiao will not be featured; however other characters or ships are allowed as long as the focus remains on ZhongXiao/XiaoZhong (this however may change depending on interest check).

I ship [insert ship], can I still apply? Of course! We do not discriminate depending on what you enjoy in your free time, nor are we gonna penalize you if you showcase works of whatever ships in your application.

How will contributors be compensated? We hope to provide every contributors a free full bundle of the zine should profits permit it, else it will be available at production costs; remaining profits will be divided evenly between participants or go to a charity; depending on the Interest check's results.

What's the minimum age to apply? 18+ by the time applications end, regardless if the side-zine becomes a thing.

Why not allowing 16/17 year olds to apply? Due to past experiences with minors in zines and how they acted, the host feels uncomfortable allowing minors in the zine and hopes you can understand such choice. They will however be able to purchase the zine should they wish.

What are you looking for in artists? Knowledge and understanding of basic anatomy, an interesting style and knowledge of how colors can work together.

What should I put in my portfolio? At least one work featuring a non-plain background, a piece you consider "finished" and a piece showcasing your knowledge of anatomy (such as a character piece).

Should I show my Genshin Impact or ZhongXiao/XiaoZhong works? They are not necessary; however heavily preferred to know how you portray Zhongli and Xiao.

Questions about writers will be uploaded if there's enough interest for writing in the zine and a writing mod has been chosen

What roles are you looking for? We are looking for a Layout/Formatting mod, a Graphics mod, a Finances/Shipping mod and if interest allows, a Writing mod.

Is past experience needed for these roles? Writing mod and Graphics mod, no, as long as the portfolio is strong; however past experience with zines will be required for the layout/formatting and finances/shipping mods.

What role is the host mod going to fill? Social Media and Organization; should there be no good applicants for Finances/Shipping, the Host will also take on that role.

Anything we should be aware of? Due to the current fandom climate, the host will perform a screen-check on applicants' social medias to make sure they do not hold harmful views or harass people depending on what they enjoy in private (or support such behavior).

What are the expectations for each role?

Layout/Formatting: Able to format the PDF of the Zine, both print-ready and for digital consumption; will be trusted to use free-for-commercial use fonts & assets (May be merged with Graphics role).

Finances/Shipping: (Pricing and budgeting will be done with the Host's help) Ability to create a new business PayPal account specifically for the zine and share the log-in information with the team (Else the host will use their own zine specific account but will be unable to share the log-in information with the team, which is not preferred); knowledge of local shipping fees and eventual work-arounds to get better rates, will verify products are in perfect condition then package them, will piece together any merch that needs assembling.

Graphics: Able to create attractive visuals to promote the zine in a timely manner, being an artist may be a plus (May be merged with Layout/Formatting).

Writing: Able to judge writers and give them appropriate guidelines, as well as give advice to them if needed.

General: Able to communicate to the team and address any concerns.
